Andrew Kirshteyn scored his 1,000th career point on a layup with five minutes left in the game on the way to a game-high 24 points as seventh-seeded Park Ridge held off Ridgefield, 60-50, in the quarterfinals of the North 1, Group 1 boys basketball tournament.

Zach Carroll added 11 points and Dan Ogulluk had 10 for Park Ridge, which scored the final six points of the game from the free-throw line to pull away.
